Polyester is a form of plastic from petroleum. Avoiding conventional cotton or "plastic" fibers including polyester, acrylic, nylon,
reduces use of and exposure to 1000s of unregulated chemicals including persistent,
hormone-disrupting phthalates, volatile organic compounds, perflourinated compounds, formaldehyde, BPAs,
PFAS (“forever chemicals”), heavy metal dyes, and others that cause allergies,
asthma, cancer, as well as neurobehavioral, reproductive & immune disorders.
